Privacy policy

[COMPANY NAME] (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]) runs Relocate to Scotland and is the controller of the personal data described here.

What we collect

  • What you tell us in the planner: where you are moving from, who is moving, when, and your email address.
  • If you use the longer planner later: areas you are considering, whether you plan to buy or rent, and similar details.
  • Which checklist items you tick off, so your checklist remembers.
  • Where you came from, if the link you followed carried campaign tags.

What we use it for

To build and send your checklist, to email you weekly reminders (which you can turn off from any reminder), and to introduce you to an estate agent or solicitor when you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share your details with a partner firm only when you ask for an introduction, and we name the firm before we do. We never sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Amazon Web Services (database) and Resend (email). They process data on our behalf and under contract.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for 24 months after you last used your checklist, then delete them. If an introduction led to a fee, we keep a record of that introduction for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights, and how to be forgotten

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@relocatetoscotland.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your details within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

If you apply to be a partner

If you apply on behalf of an estate agency, law firm or other business, we keep your name, work email, phone number and the areas you cover to review your application and, if approved, to send you introductions and manage fees.
